Digital Breast Thermography

Beginning in the early 2000’s, The Natural Path was among the first health centers in Minnesota to offer digital thermography. This procedure utilizes an ultra-sensitive infrared camera to detect, analyze, and produce high-resolution images.

The procedure is based on the principle that chemical and blood vessel activity in both pre- cancerous tissue and the area surrounding a developing cancer or disease is almost always higher. Since pre-cancerous and cancerous masses are highly metabolic tissues, they need an abundant supply of nutrients to maintain their growth. They increase circulation to cells by sending out chemicals to keep existing blood vessels open, recruit dormant vessels, and create new ones. This process results in an increase in regional surface temperatures of the body. Thermography can detect the temperature and vascular changes.

What to Expect at Your Appointment

  1. New clients first meet with Callie Eide and discuss their health history and concerns.

  2. The client rests in a cold room for ten minutes to achieve the optimal imaging results.

  3. Callie will use an FDA-cleared infrared thermography camera to take non-invasive, no-contact images. The images will be visible on a monitor to the client.

  4. Our clinic sends image to be evaluated by Dr Jean Stryker, MD, a Vascular & Interventional Radiology Oncology specialist.

  5. After the initial thermography appointment, the client receives a written medical report and a follow-up telephone conference with a Traditional Naturopath to discuss the natural implications of the medical results.

Take the next step in your natural health journey with the original thermography clinic in Minnesota.
